Enrollment Process

You may enroll in courses at any time of the year and there are no age or grade requirements to get started. If you would like assistance is selecting your course(s), contact our Academic Adviser.  

New Students Begin Here!

Diploma Students
If you have existing high school credit and would like to earn your diploma from the Independent Study High School, begin by completing a Transcript Evaluation form, located on our forms page. Our Academic Adviser will provide an evaluation of your transferrable credit hours.

If you do not have existing high school credit and would like to earn your diploma from the Independent Study High School, simply indicate that you will be completing the diploma program as you enroll in course(s). If you would like more information on beginning the diploma program or assistance with course selection, please contact our Academic Adviser.


Supplemental/non-diploma Students
Students transferring credit to a local school should speak with their local school counselor prior to enrolling in courses, and should have them complete a Local School Approval form. You may submit this form prior to, or during the time of course enrollment.

How to Enroll

Once students have selected a course, enrollment for the Independent Study High School is easy.  Ways to enroll:

  1. Enroll online (Be sure to "create a new account" (top right corner) if you are new to the online enrollment system. Returning customers may login to return to their account)
  2. Call toll-free (866) 700-4747 or (402) 472-2175. We’re available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday.
  3. Mail or fax a completed enrollment formand include a check, money order, credit card information or authorized billing account number.
