Programs

The University of Nebraska’s Independent Study High School offers a full diploma program and a supplemental/non-diploma program. There are no age or grade requirements to begin either program.  

High school diploma program
In addition to the strength of our courses, our diploma program offers students:

  • A high school diploma from an accredited school
  • College-preparatory or general curriculum
  • AP courses
  • Honor roll eligibility
  • Scholarship opportunity (open to all students)
  • Flexibility to graduate on their own timeline
  • The opportunity to participate in our annual graduation ceremony upon completion

Supplemental/non-diploma program
Students who are seeking high school credit to transfer to their local school receive an official University of Nebraska Independent Study High School transcript.
