The University of Nebraska’s Independent Study High School has been working with home school students and their families for 80 years.

We offer home school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma from a fully-accredited and internationally-recognized high school program. Independent study courses are also an excellent option for students looking to supplement their existing curriculum.   

Our college-preparatory curriculum helps students meet college entrance requirements and teaches them the skills needed to be successful during college.  

Using the Independent Study High School offers you:

  • A structured program of study
  • Self-paced format
  • Diploma program or supplement with individual courses
  • Over 80 courses in core, elective and Advanced Placement areas
  • Preparation for college
